Sacred Love - Love is an Emotionless State: Falling in Love is a Magnificent Gift of the Soul

Love is an emotionless state. It is a deep and wonderful knowing. The spontaneity of love, where we meet our lover afresh everyday, knowing that everything they are worthy of love, is the most beautiful moment in life. We carry no history, we accept that they are just the messenger; we open our heart to them as if we never met them before. We are young again, and the ego is simply not permitted to take hold and bring its judgments forward. This is our sacred relationship.
To fall in love everyday means an awareness of a universe of love, an unlimited supply of love that shines on all beings equally, without discrimination. Our emotions are the only thing that can block this flow. This awareness presents an opportunity to grow, expand, and increase the amount of love we experience in our everyday life. It reveals our innocent, spontaneous willingness to love without limit or condition on one hand, and the acceptance that we, our emotions and thoughts, are the only barrier. Love does not come from us, but through us, our emotion is the only mechanism to block this natural gift.
What we must avoid is becoming the observer, stuck half way between the youthful spontaneity of fresh love, and the deep inner stillness we can create in nature. Our mind can hold us in a half way place, observing love, measuring love, wanting love, knowing all about love, judging worthiness of love, but experiencing nothing of it. The ego will prevent us both surrendering to love, and growing to new love. It stays stuck emotionally, and blocks love spiritually.
The observer mind, watching and thinking about how we are, will prevent a person from falling in love. They are trapped in their mind, watching like an eagle, checking carefully, preventing mistakes, determined to get it "right", or from being hurt, or embarrassed.
This ego, which speaks through emotion, knows much, but understands nothing. It divides the world into lovable and not lovable. It has a catalogue of experiences, perceptions, self-growth and all manner of religions and philosophy to create a barrier to falling in love, just in case it is the wrong one. It fears the pain that makes true love authentic. This ego can talk of love, and who is or isn't worthy of it, it can infatuate with love, but can never experience it.
To fall in love, over and over again, you must remain innocent, and truly believe in the abundance of love. To fall everyday of your life, and stay in love, you will need to know how to deal with this blockage, your emotion and it's parent, the ego. The ego is an important, natural defense mechanism; the only one humans have against predators. It has a potent function in our lives; yet, to fall in love we must separate it from our love and learn how to grow.
