Love, Sex, Lust - Which Is It?
This article is not intended to offend any personal belief. It is
only to ask questions and get your mind in gear, especially if you are
"in love" and cannot think of anything else very clearly. We are
speaking of "in love" rather than loving someone. We all know the
difference relative to the heights of emotion. Let us take one of those
love at first sight situations. Is it love at first sight or lust at
first site? Can you love an evil person because they look good? Well if
you only saw them across a room and did not know them, it would be hard
to argue it is anything but lust at first site. Oh but you are not that
way. You would not lust, it isn't proper. Well it certainly is not
proper to love a good looking evil person from across the room, so you
just lusted!
When you shout "I love you" at the height of having sex, do you? People have been known to scream, the wrong name during climax and be thoroughly embarrassed. That emotion was lust was it not? Or did you shout who you truly love, or did you shout the name of one with whom you usually share sex? Or perhaps a high school love.
Why does deep abiding love wear off? Why is it our grandparents generation have fewer divorces? Did they love deeper or have less sex before marriage and learned real love before they learned sex? Hmmmmm.
Why is it only men rape? Physical or testosterone? Were Men supposed to have herds or harems? Why should a Walrus have a harem and not a man? Are men sincere or are they just working the lust thing, perhaps not really knowing? If the whole thing is laid out clearly, people mate for life, raising a family why are there homosexuals? No procreation foreordained there.
All Peahens look alike. All Monkeys look alike. All Bulls look alike, however all Humans do not? What does that signify? We see signs of elephants holding trunks. Truly, holding trunks in an embraceable position. It is hard to refute that they are loving. So it seems there are many more questions than answers. This article is to make you think if you are at a time in your life where such a subject makes a difference. Very little else can share such importance in one's life.
Married couples have sex parties with other married couples, while watching. An interview we saw on Oprah disclosed the swinging couple loved each other very much and enjoyed watching the other enjoy sex with someone else. They felt happy for their partner.
Affairs are rampant among the married. So what to do? Will the one you love now change, or are they not telling you the truth or just cannot imagine a change in feelings?
If one is in love with their partner and the partner cheats and is discovered, that truly is The Big Hurt. Short of mourning a death there is not a Big Hurt equal to that. It is the most dastardly act a married partner can do is cheat upon the one who loves them dearly.
Maybe all partners should take lie detector tests regularly and certainly before marriage.
